The media personality tied the knot with lawyer Okula Jack in a lavish ceremony that left fans talking. Videos showed Marya in an elegant all-brown outfit, smiling beside her groom as they celebrated their day in style.
Speaking to Milele FM’s Ankali, YY addressed the news and urged the public to let his ex enjoy her new chapter. He said that marriage is a personal pursuit of happiness and should not be clouded by negativity. He stated that everybody getting married in this world is someone’s ex and people should allow them to enjoy their day without negativity.
YY added that Marya’s happiness directly affects their daughter’s well-being. He said she is the mother of his child and any happiness towards her reflects on his child, and he would not want her to have a miserable life. If she finds happiness, so be it.
He dismissed claims that they had reconciled, ending the interview after repeated questions from the host.
The pair split in September 2023 after Marya announced it on Instagram. She insisted the separation was genuine and refused to reveal the reason, despite public speculation.
YY moved on first, introducing a new partner, Noella, and later visiting her parents. He explained that he wanted to focus on building a new family and stability for the future.
