The deodorant is a product that we use daily for our body hygiene. Many antiperspirants are thought to be completely safe, though this is not the case because the deodorant ingredients may contain substances that are not beneficial to health.

Our skin needs to be hydrated and taken care of and, like every day, we use deodorant, these must be of quality and totally natural, so there are certain ingredients that it is always better to avoid.

The parabens

Little by little, such compounds are being eliminated in cosmetic products, because now they are made with totally natural ingredients. In this case, for deodorants the same thing happens. We must emphasize that parabens are chemicals that are used to prevent the development of certain bacteria that appear in certain products such as deodorants, but are harmful to us.

Aluminum

It is strongly used as an ingredient in deodorants because it reduces the amount of sweat that we secrete as the bacteria responsible for bad body odor. Now, aluminum is a metal that may be related to some developments and growths of tumors, although there are many studies to verify this claim.

Phthalates

This compound, which we find in many personal care products, such as shampoos or soaps, can also be present in daily hygienic care and is said to be a toxic compound. Therefore, it is better to opt for always healthier alternatives.

Certain fragrances

In order to offer much more smell to our body, and especially to the armpits, fragrances, being ingredients of deodorants, can provide odor but also allergies and skin problems, such as dermatitis.

Tolueno

It is another compound in such products for daily use and personal care. We must emphasize that toluene is a derivative of petroleum tar sources, and therefore, can offer reactions that are not good for our organism. From irritations on the skin, through respiratory system conditions.

Natural solutions . One of the ways of not having such compounds in deodorants is to always look at the labels to acquire natural options, or to create our own homemade and natural deodorant.
