Kenya’s government has introduced mandatory quarantine for all Kenyans coming in from abroad and those who might have come into contact with confirmed positive cases.

As a punitive punishment, the government has all announced that all persons who will be caught disobeying laid down COVID-19 rules will also be forced into a mandatory quarantine.

This means that allocated quarantine centres are going to boom in regards to population count.

Here are 10 reasons why you should not attempt to date while in forced quarantine.

  1. Risk of getting infected if the partner turns positive
  2. Government has banned interactions in quarantine, thus all of suspects risk being forced into fresh quarantine dates
  3. You risk of getting infected with STIs since you do not know the sexual life of other partner
  4. Circumstantial dating rarely matures into life partnership, therefore you might end up wasting each others precious time
  5. If things do not work out between the two of you, your remaining dates of your quarantine might be added nightmare apart from the pending problem
