The bus that was ferrying the first team of Borussia Dortmond team to play against the french side Monaco was attached today in the evening few hours to the kick off.
Player Marc Bartra was injured and was taken to hospital, the club said, but is not believed to be seriously hurt.
The team tweeted (in German) that the other players were safe and there was no danger in or around the stadium.
The game has been postponed until Wednesday. The AFP news agency reported that the bus’s windows were broken in the blasts.
The Dortmund twitter page confirmed that Bartra had been taken to hospital, and wished him a speedy recovery.
Borussia Dortmund were scheduled to play a quarter-final match against Monaco.
It will now be played on Wednesday at 18:45 local time (16:45 GMT).
FC Barcelona tweeted: “All of our support to @MarcBartra, @BVB and their fans.”
Dortmund are currently fourth in the German Bundesliga table.
