Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and and his Starehe counterpart Charles Kanyi Jaguar were re-admitted into the chambers of the National Assembly after tendering a public apology in regards to their drama witnessed just after elections in Parliament.
Babu Owino’s apology as expected was another source of entertainment in the house.
I would like to apologize and say that on that day, I did not slap Hon. Jaguar, it is his cheeks that moved towards my hands, Babu said.
Speaker Moses Cheboi forced him to tender in a fresh apology without his comical words.
The two leaders had made up after their scuffle but according to the the powers and privileges committee, their public apology had to be accorded in line the standing rules.
Their fight was ensued back then in 2017 after Babu Owino failed to recognize President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Head of State.
Charles Kanyi Njagua aka Jaguar asked Babu Owino to respect President Uhuru in his apology.
