To imagine that you would find it easy securing a job with a certain company just because one of your parents is the owner or Chief Executive Officer (CEO), is a misguided perception or at least it was for one lass by the name Anerlisa Muigai.

In an Instagram post, Anerlisa who is the first born daughter of Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja revealed how she was chased away when she first applied for a job at the company.

The self-made entrepreneur says she applied for a marketing job at Keroche Breweries but was denied because of lack of experience.

This, she says, inspired her to start her own business venture and that is how NERO, the company that supplies Executive Still water, was born.

After running her own business for close two years and knowing the ins and outs of the corporate world, Anerlisa reapplied for the marketing job.

This time around luck smiled on her as she was offered the same job she had been denied a few years back.

In her new role, Anerlisa has been tasked with promoting alcoholic beverages with the Summit name.

She also urged her fans to believe in themselves saying she would never have gotten where she is today had she given up when she was turned away.

This is what she posted.
