Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili aka Babu Owino has been freed on on Ksh500,000 bail and two sureties of Ksh1m each.
The ruling judge stated that there were no compelling reason to contine holding the MP after he had spent 2 night at Kileleshwa police station
He had been accused of insulting the presidency during a NASA political rally in Nairobi.
His sentiments sparked protests in Jubilee strongholds of Thika town and Kiambu Town, where president Uhuru Kenyatta commands a strong majority vote.
