Popular Kenyan comedian Kennedy Odhiambo, widely known as Crazy Kennar, and his longtime partner Natalie Asewe have shared joyful news with their fans: the birth of their baby girl. The couple announced the arrival of their daughter on Sunday, August 3, through a touching Instagram post that celebrated not only new life but also honoured the memory of their late firstborn child.

The couple posted a series of beautiful photos capturing the emotional moments surrounding the birth. The first image showed Natalie lying on a hospital bed, cradling their newborn baby while Kennar lovingly watched from beside her. The second photo featured the proud parents gently holding their daughter’s tiny hand. The third was a throwback shot taken before the delivery — Natalie leaning into Kennar’s arms, heavily pregnant and glowing with anticipation.

Accompanying the photos was a deeply moving caption that read: “Handpicked for earth by her brother in heaven🌈❤️. I present to you the God of restoration.”

In December 2023, Kennar and Natalie suffered the heartbreaking loss of their first child, who passed away in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), just four days before Kennar’s Happy Country comedy show. The loss was deeply personal and painful, but the couple has shown incredible strength, leaning on their faith and each other through their grief.

The announcement of their baby girl has been met with an outpouring of love and congratulations from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Jackie Vike commented, “Congratulations my people! Akianza kukula, mjue the first Mrenda is on me! Nime book.” Comedian Blessed Njugush added, “Great news this fine morning!!!!!!!! Wishing y’all Health, Providence and lots of happiness.” And Abel Mutua shared, “Congratulations, good people. What a testimony. Blessings upon Blessings.”

Even Kennar himself couldn’t help but joke in celebration, writing, “I can’t believe I have very pretty genes.”

This is not the first time Kennar has made headlines for his loving gestures toward Natalie. On Valentine’s Day earlier this year, he surprised her at work with a bouquet of roses and a beautifully wrapped red gift. Natalie took to Instagram to express her excitement and appreciation, joking that Kennar had proudly lived up to the stereotype of Luo men being lavish and romantic.

The arrival of their daughter marks a new beginning for the couple, one filled with hope, healing, and gratitude. As fans continue to flood their social media pages with congratulatory messages, it’s clear that Kennar and Natalie’s journey has inspired many — not just through their comedy and content, but through their resilience, love, and faith in the face of loss.

Their beautiful baby girl is not just a new life; she is a symbol of restoration, and a reminder that even after sorrow, joy can still be born.
