Runyenjes MP Cecile Mbarire and the Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti yesterday treated onlookers at a fund raising event to free drama with their antics.
The two arrived at the event but each seemed to have planned to announce their candidature for the governor seat at the event. The initial preliminaries showed did not provide a precursor of what was to follow. However, all courtesies and friendships were thrown out of the window when the senator took to the podium to announce his interest in the seat.
The area Mp Cecile Mbarire would have none of that as she walked to the podium cheered by her supporters in protest of what she termed betrayal and disrespect. A charged Mbarire made for the mike and the two were engaged in a mini tug of war as supporters of the two camps also engaged in war of words and some in fights.
The two later left the fundraising without even making their contribution. Here is a video showing the shameful incident as the race for a Jubilee ticket picks up pace in Central Kenya. Clearly no one is ready to be left behind and lust as others feast on power.
