The remains of the young Nation Media Group employee who went missing was traced to City Mortuary in Nairobi after it went missing for almost a week.
The NMG switchboard operator Mildred Odira had been brought to the mortuary by police from Kasarani police station on last Tuesday 29th January at 6.31 am and booked as unknown body.
Police noted that they picked the body in Mwiki.
It would later be positively identified as Mildred Odira on Monday 4th February.
Her body looked almost smashed while her face had two wounds. The inner-wear was partly lowered while her trousers had been torn apart.
Her last known location was in her residence located in Kariobangi South at around 4am.
A security guard reported that he even helped her collect a vehicle that she used on the fateful day she never returned.
According to the taxi driver, she drove Mildred to the Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital.
Late Mildred had been battling with diabetes, hypertension and ulcers.
The taxi driver was arrested and questioned over her death.
