The WhatsApp creative team confirmed on Monday that the application will have a function to allow the self-destruction of messages after a certain time.
According to the world’s largest mobile messaging service company, users will now be able to configure the lifetime of their messages.
In this way, the periods that can be selected for the self-destruction of WhatsApp messages are from one hour, one day, one week, one month and up to one year.
However, the developers of the company announced that, in principle, the function will only be available to groups, with the aim of reducing the saturation of the memory of cell phones.
The option differs from “delete for all” because once activated, the message disappears as if it never existed.
However, so far, only the administrators of groups of chat can enable or disable self – destruction.
