New song ‘Mwanza’ by Rayvanny featuring Diamond Platnumz been banned in Tanzania by its national music regulatory body Basata after it was declared unfit for public use.
“Wimbo ‘MWANZA’ wa Wasanii @Rayvanny aliomshirikisha @DiamondPlatnumz umefungiwa na Baraza la Sanaa Tanzania (BASATA) kupigwa mahali Popote kwa sababu za kuwa Unahamasisha Masuala yasiyofaa” a statement from the body reads.
The colabo hit has already recorded more than a million views after it was published on You Tube on November 10th.
This will be the third music from Wasafi Records owned by Diamond to have been declared illegal in Tanzania.
Previously his two top hits Halleluyah featuring Morgan Heritage and Waka Waka featuring Rick Ross had been thrown under the bus.
Tanzanian authorities believe that Diamond and Rayvanny may have used the song to promote homosexuality.
