What started as a joke is now becoming a national matter of concern. Nakumatt chain investor which has had several outlets across East Africa is now struggling to stay afloat in the business.
With several branches shut in Kenya’s major towns, Nanyuki branch became the latest to be shut down. But with some little drama.
The owner Nanyuki Mall who is demanding 36 million from Nakumatt today in the morning threw the left over to the streets inviting looters to start of their new year in style with freebies .
Police had to fire in the air to scare away a mammoth of looters.
The owner of the premises is preparing to let off the building to another unknown supermarket.
