While in Kisumu preparing for the late Ezekiel Otuoma’s funeral, Obidan encountered Joy during a shopping trip. She shared her heartbreaking story: her husband had been killed while she was pregnant with her youngest child. Since his death, she had been relying on prayers to keep going.
“I was living in a store when we met,” Joy revealed in a video shared by Obidan. The content creator was struck by her dire situation, which included not having basic necessities like a roof over her head or household items.

Despite facing his own challenges, including overstaying his visit and a broken phone, Obidan mobilized resources to help Joy and her children. He purchased essential items such as clothes, shoes, a bed, a mattress, a carpet, and groceries.
“I don’t know how I am feeling. Meeting Joy felt like a divine connection,” Obidan shared emotionally in his video.
The TikToker also revealed that he plans to build Joy a proper house. “I want us to pen a house for her and pray for it,” he said, urging his fans to support the cause.
