Jet Li has been suffering from hyperthyroidism and spinal problems since 2010 when he was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid.

Despite good treatment and medication, the disease has been coming back to haunt his health.

The Romeo Must Die hit maker first spoke of his illness in 2017 (  at One Foundation’s charity dinner in the Chinese capital) when he was justifying about his long absence from the public.

A recent photo taken from Jet Li’s visit to a Tibet temple, looks frail and often assisted even with walking.

The disease which has brought his health onto his knees, hyperthyroidism, affects the victims heart rate and metabolism.

Li also revealed in 2013 that doctors had warned him of demanding action movie scripts which doctors added that would render him onto a wheel chair.
