An aircaft operatd by Silverstone heading to Nairobi from Lodwar was forced to make an emergency landing in Eldoret after a tire fell off during it’s take off in Lodwar.
Confirming the incident, Uasin Gishu County Police Commander Johnston Ipara stated that 5 passengers and 4 crew members were all safely disembarked from the plane.
“At about 0930hrs, we did receive a report from our counterparts in Lodwar, that there is one aircraft that had left the airport and it had a technical problem and immediately we did put measure in place to ensure that those who were on board alight safely,” Ipara said.
According to Ipara, no one was injured from the terrifying moment
“The technical problem was that one of the tires on the aircraft’s rear dropped as the aircraft was taking off. But through the high training the pilot has undergone he was able to land safely and in a professional way.”
“I want to inform Kenyans no one was injured, all of them walked out majestically humbly.”
Few days ago, a plane belonging to Silverstone knocked off another parked plane at Wilson Airport, something the pilots neither the Air Traffic Controllers aka ATC did not notice.
On October 11th, in 2019, same month, another plane under Silverstone crashed few seconds after take off.
