On Wednesday 20th March, Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko donated relief food to the starving Turkana residents after their plight became a national issue.
He also donated other non-food items to help residents who are sleeping on empty stomachs under a scorching drought season.
County Government of Turkana, and the National Government distanced itself from the famine claiming that no one had died from hunger as claimed by several sources on the ground.
