You get married, you have it decided. Everything is under way and you just want nothing to come up that spoils that day.

There are things that are in your hand, but what if you are a superstitious girlfriend or if you spend these things, you should know before the link. Because it never hurts, right?

Superstitions that a girlfriend should know before her wedding.

Superstitions you should know before your wedding

Around weddings there are many theories and legends that talk about good luck or bad luck of brides, do you want to know the most popular?

1. Wet girlfriend, lucky girlfriend

Every woman about to get married always looks at the sky, waiting for a ray of sunlight to guide her and accompany her on such a special day.

But, did you know the legend that says girls who get married on a rainy day will you ensure a happy marriage? In some cultures, even rain is synonymous with fertility and augurs a union with many children.

If you do not believe in this tradition and you want to avoid the rain spoiling your day, you can resort to the rituals that will “take away” the clouds of your city that day, such as the bride sleeping with scissors under her mattress or sticking knives in the land of your garden.

Any help for that day will be well received, right?

2. The role of rice in weddings

Everyone who has passed through the altar remembers with certain “terror” the moment of leaving the church and that all the guests, rice in hand, hurl their artillery against them.

The rice sneaks into the hair in his pockets for underwear, but why not abandon this tradition? They say it’s related to fertility, so just in case, you have to sign up for it!

3. What to wear at the wedding?

Because it is better to prevent, it is not too bad to attract good luck with the following three traditions: wear something old, something new and something blue.

The first relates to friendships, which will last and will be many; The second, with the new things that are to come, and the third, is synonymous with fidelity, a key element in every marriage.

4. The groom and the bride before the link

Many couples live together before getting married, but since they do not want to challenge fate, the night before the celebration they sleep under different roofs. And there are theories that speak of bad luck if the groom sees the bride dressed in white before being in front of the altar.

And speaking of the dress, did you know that before it was thought that wearing a veil protected the bride from envy and bad wishes?

5. Pearls equal to tears

The jewels, the accessories or the details that the bride’s dress looks like that day are going to play an important role for her future, or that some Roman superstitions said that if the bride wore pearls on her wedding day her marriage would be marked by misfortunes and tears.

Perhaps of all the legends, the most “exaggerated”, but since each bride interprets it to his liking.

But the tears at a wedding are a sign of good luck. It is said that if a bride cries during the celebration, she will not spill any more during her marriage. There is no harm in the fact that it does not come (even if the makeup is done)!

6. Broken glasses, knives and bells

After the ceremony itself, the moment of celebration comes and this is not without traditions and superstitions.

For example, do you want to know how old are you and your partner will last together? You will only have to take a crystal glass, throw it against the ground and the number of pieces that come out will be the time that your relationship will last.

On the other hand, try that nobody gives you a cutlery. The presence of knives at a wedding presage bad luck.

And since we do not want that to happen, we have the solution. Give the person who has given you a coin and, thus, instead of a present it will be a purchase.

And, something that they say gives happiness to the couple, the sound of the bells at the end of the celebration. There are people who believe so much in this tradition that they even give little bells to their guests to attract good luck.
