Last night’s freak accident at Roysambu overpass caused a major traffic snarl-up on the ever busy Thika Road.
A speeding car got airborne, flew a couple of meters and violently landed on the concrete barrier on Roysambu overpass claiming one life.
Word has it that the driver of car was speeding when he lost control of his vehicle. The accident happened on 7:30 pm.
The driver of the car surprisingly survived the accident but a female occupant wasn’t lucky enough as she lost her life.
The lady was the only one who was killed in the accident, 5 occupants including the driver survived and were rushed to Thika Level five and Lumumba hospitals for treatment.
