Before moving to the Spanish La Liga side Girona FC, For Gor Mahia striker Olunga started off at Swedish side IF Djurgardens.

He then moved to China’s Super League side Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng where he was signed for a record transfer fee of Ksh. 467 million.
