As president Donald Trump begins his reign in a historic presidency, already his effect is felt wide and far. And so is Kenya.
Kenya’s ambassador Robert Godec’s job was cut short despite him opting to extend it. In his speech during the inauguration, he said will cut off a direct line between foreign presidents and the US government, until Senate-confirmed envoys are appointed.
Former President Barack Obama appointed Godec as US ambassador to Kenya in September 2012; he presented his credentials to President Uhuru Kenyatta on February 15th 2013
