1. Mention Examples Of a Time You Survived Under Pressure

A good way to answer this question is to draw a challenging work scenario that exhibited your ability to manage pressure. Mention specific experiences you had in previous jobs that prove you were able to handle pressure well. Think about what you found most challenging in your current or previous roles and how you reacted in each situation. Here is how to answer an interview question you don’t know

For instance, if at one time you were faced with a heavy workload, you can explain how prioritization played a major role in ensuring the tasks were completed.

Such a response is likely to please the interviewer;

“I feel that I handle pressure extremely well. I am used to working under very strict deadlines in my current job and consider prioritization to be very important. By prioritizing my tasks for the day, I am able to complete projects to the highest standard, even with limited resources,”

2. Let The Interviewer Know You Thrive Under Pressure

Apart from the interviewer knowing how well you can cope under pressure, use it as an opportunity to demonstrate how well you thrive under pressure. Make the interviewer recognize that you appreciate pressure by portraying how you focus on the goal and not the pressure.

A perfect answer could be;
“I handle pressure by remaining proactive and responding to situations with a creative solution rather than allow myself to procrastinate as a result of pressure. All in all when I am under pressure, I focus on deliverables and get the job done”

3. Don’t Let The Interviewer Know You Can’t Handle Pressure Well

The worst answer to this question is to talk about a time where you were under pressure and did not succeed in your duties. If you do this, the interviewer will conclude that you are the kind of employee who cannot be trusted to work with challenges.

Pressure is a normal scenario in the workplace. For this reason, the interviewer wants to know how you will approach the situation and still be able to work to the employer’s expectations. Find the secret to passing any job interview in this article
