Having a better CV is the best ambassador before you meet your potential employer. A good CV gives a nutshell of what you are capable of. Even though you might have want the employer is looking for, having a poor CV with silly mistakes might just turn away good and potential employers.
The following are some of the silly mistake you should avoid.
Hard Working
Well, it is a cliché that most CV writers will state that they are so hard working and try to describe it using literature words, however this doesn’t convince your employer.
But giving examples of the challenges you have undertaken, your extra potentials and your exceptional convinces your employer to take a risk with you.
Though leader
The term is used to refer to leaders such as innovative and inspirational leaders such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs or Ben Carson.
Employing them could mean that you are egocentric. Instead break it into your experience, qualification and expertise.
Strong communication skills
This phrase is the worst to use in a CV, first it doesn’t highlight anything specific, and second if you have strong communication skills, and it should be seen in your CV, you don’t need to prove it.
Works well in a team or individually
This is another blank phrase that occupies another valuable space on your CV, it doesn’t tell your employer anything. You need to demonstrate how you have worked in groups and the kind of people you have interacted with.
You could also state projects done personally or even projects undertaken during group works.
Result driven
Always to remember to back this phrase with facts so as the employers can see what you have achieved. Bare words scares away your potential recruiters.
Socializing with friends
This phrase doesn’t prove anything, instead go ahead and state your social groups such as football clubs, social groups, and what you have achieved in that social ground.
