On 23rd April 2019, a domestic worker was charged after she killed her eight-month-old daughter for resembling NASA and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
In another different statement, she denied killing the baby for refusing to take the milk she had bought.
The court ordered her to undergo a psychiatric examination at Mathare Mental Hospital before she could take any plea.
On February 19, it is when the incident happened in Nairobi at Riverside area where Sevelina Mwihaki Kamau was accused of killing her baby while at her employer’s home.
The prosecution said that Sevelina had abused drugs and smoked bhang during and after her pregnancy.
After neighbors noticed the baby was missing, they reported to Kilimani police station leading to her immediate arrest.
She was denied bond by Kibera senior resident magistrate Renee Kamau.
She asked the court to help her get some cash, and also to speed up its case process since her home was from far the city, Nyeri.
Her case will be mentioned on May 13 this year
