Rachel has a Master’s degree in International Studies from Ewha Women’s University in South Korea. Her focus was on women and development. Knowing the importance of education, Rachel believes it is critical to educate girls in order to not only give a voice and a sense of power to girls, but also to reduce any vulnerabilities that go with lack of education.
As a YALI Fellow, Rachel plans to work in conjunction with the local administration, community leaders, and the church at large on coming up with holistic proposals on how to enhance girl child education for improved prosperity in the community.
Youth Village Kenya acknowledge Rachel expanding her own knowledge to be able to help promote girl child education. Congratulations Rachel!
