On the afternoon of Monday, 3rd May 2019, a group of hackers from Indonesia defaced several government websites for better part of the day.
Some of the government sites which were not accessible included the National Youth Service aka NYS, IFMIS – Integrated Financial Management Information Systems , Immigration and Judiciary among other.
The sites were left with a series of unreadable texts and disabled buttons
The ICT ministry replaced the hackers huge logo with a message indicating the site was under maintenance
“We’ll be back soon! Sorry for the inconvenience but we’re performing some maintenance at the moment. If you need to you can always contact us, otherwise we’ll be back online shortly! GoK Cyber Security Team,”
