Way before kanze Dena graced our screens and was working under Royal Media Services, she was just another young, skinny, short girl from Nairobi.
The screen siren, who is known for her eloquent Swahili, grew up in Nairobi and Mombasa but schooled in Embu specifically, Kieni Girls High School and St.Mathews Kianjokoma mixed primary school.

Kanze Dena gave birth to her first child while she was still in college.
This gave her problems with her parents. Her mother threatened to send her away because she was viewed as a disgrace to the family and a very bad example to the girl child.
