Reggae presenter and Radio host Jamby Koikai’s battle with a rare disease for women has led to several mixed reactions after she sought to seek for help from Kenyans in order to settle her medical bills.
When she started the campaign, to solicit funds from well wishers, cons used advantage of her situation and diverted the money to their own accounts after conning innocent contributors.
And months later, a woman is claiming that Jamby too is coning Kenyans.
However she defended her case.
“It has come to my attention that false information is being shared about the cost of my treatment. I’ve shared my journey from 2015 and the public is aware of this endometriosis battle. My mom, my sis and i have met all our medical bills even after my grandmother passed away. It’s also quite disappointing to note that close relatives, who have not been supportive are spreading malicious and damaging information.
It is with utmost sincerity that i came out to ask for help because thoracic endometriosis is a rare condition and the specialists dealing with it are in america.
This journey has been a treacherous one but with the support of the millions of kenyans, i will get treated and come back to help other women facing this condition.
Thank you for your support this far. God bless you.”
“Here to remind you that the freedoms we have were fought for by others.
We are millions of endometriosis conquerors fighting for the current generation and many more to come. Fighting for our doctors to be medically trained to deal with this condition and to get us a cure. Fighting for health insurance to give us medical cover. Fighting for education on natural foods and naturotherapy.
We have a long way to go but this is for us. This is for our younger sisters and daughters. It will never be as painful for them as it has been for us.”
