Safaricom are a market leader in the SACCO industry located in Nairobi and offering FOSA services to our members.
As part of Safaricom growth strategy, they are looking to hire a qualified staff to fill the position of a Teller.
The job holder will be expected to accurately and efficiently handle routine transactions and offer excellent customer care services to their Members.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides FOSA services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments.
Process all M-PESA deposits and payments.
Process and maintain petty cash payment records.
Preparations of daily teller summaries, filings and M-PESA reconciliations.
Maintain and control cash box keys.
Issue receipts and payment vouchers.
Ensure that cheques receipted to FOSA accounts are banked on daily basis.
Receive and count working cash at beginning of shift.
Identify customers, validate and cash checks.
Record all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with SACCO
procedures
Answer inquiries regarding BOSA and FOSA accounts and other SACCO related
services.
Resolve issues and problems with customer accounts.
Explain, advise on and promote FOSA products and services to customers.
Ensure compliance with all internal controls and established policies and procedures.
Any other duty as and when assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma in Co-operative Management/ Accounting/Business management.
Minimum of CPA part II
KCSE mean grade C +
Basic Telling course
NB: Knowledge in Navision system and a relevant degree will be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE:
At least 2 years’ relevant experience preferably in a Co-operative Society.
Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures
KEY COMPETENCES:
Good knowledge of Excel spread sheets & Word.
Good knowledge of telling procedures.
