If you are a regular driver, I’m sure that at some time you could have punctured some of your car’s tires or you could have suffered a breakdown.

In both cases and in all probability, you have not been able to solve these setbacks because at that time you did not have the basic tools to solve them.

So that it does not happen again, here is the list with the kit of 10 essential tools that you must always carry in your car.

1)Flat screwdriver and other star screwdriver – It would also be useful to carry one with interchangeable heads of various diameters and sizes.

2) Pliers with cutting area to strip wires or cut any piece of plastic or similar material, if necessary.

3) Spanner and a ratchet wrench to loosen or tighten nuts.

4) Insulating tape. It can be used to make emergency repairs (hold or leave a piece fixed), isolate a cable that may appear in poor condition and to locate or mark the point to repair later.

5) Hydraulic jack to change tires with a crosshead or cross key.

6) Reflective triangles: some devices that due to their peculiarities serve to warn other users of the way that your car is stopped by a breakdown or setback.

7) Allen or Torx head set. It is becoming more and more frequent to use them, since in recent years the use of small nuts and bolts that can only be tightened or loosen if you have Allen keys has been extended.

8) Gloves: to change the wheels, check any part of the engine, check the oil, etc. If you do not want to stain your hands and clothes, they are essential.

9) Box with spare fuses. Many times the most common faults whose warning signal is reflected in the instrumentation panel is due to some of the fuses being blown, so the problem would be solved replacing it with another.

10) Portable battery lamp or flashlight. A basic tool especially when you have to manipulate, look or fix something of your car at a time and place with little natural light, either in the early morning, at dusk, at night and even in a tunnel.
